Cheap Insurance Tips

Get Cheaper Car Insurance

There are many ways to get cheap car insurance, but you have to make sure that you are also telling the truth with the details you are providing, if you do not give the correct details you can get into a lot of trouble so we advice that you tell the truth with how much you are paying. We are going to be providing you with tips which can save you a good amount.

1. We recommend that you start off with a car in a low insurance group i.e. insurance group 1. This will be the cheapest to insure and will allow you to gain no claims which will help in the future when insuring on cars in higher insurance groups.

2. You can save money on getting third-party cover which we do not recommend as this is a very risky cover, we recommend getting full cover as this will help if you get into a certain accident and the insurance company will be able to take care of it.

3. You can pay higher excess in the case of an insurance claim, this will be able to reduce the amount by a hefty sum, but make sure that you are able to pay the excess, because in the case of an accident you will be required to pay the excess.

4. Check out buying car insurance online, as some companies offer a discount for policies purchased and could save you up to a good sum.

5. Park your car in a locked garage or other, secure, off-street location overnight, if you add this to the insurance cover you can save money as this will make your car seem in a safe location and will save you money.

6. If the car has been customised it will make the insurance rise.

7. It also always helps to have someone with experience on your policy some insurance companies may make the insurance a lot cheaper by having them on your policy.

8. If you are a student check out a list of insurance companies that will do discounts for students.

9. Do not add excessive miles to your policy make sure you do the amount which is needed and not any more or less this can save a lot of money on your insurance, but make sure you do not do more than you said as this will cause problems with your insurance if the company finds out.

10. If your vehicle is not fitted with an approved immobiliser, you can save money with one fitted with certain insurance companies.

11. Lastly shop around, make sure you have found the right insurance company which will provide you with a good quote, also if you are a girl it is recommended to use diamond or Sheila's wheels.
